In 2008, I financed a 5-townhome project where the borrower/builder encountered significant unexpected expenses early on, and I had to foreclose on the partially finished project. At that point, the projected loss on the five properties was approximately $1,200,000. Ron worked closely with us on the best way to complete the homes, minimizing expenses while maximizing their value. His expertise allowed us to rent out the properties for six to seven years, and when the market recovered, Ron successfully sold them. Thanks to his guidance, what could have been a substantial loss turned into a no-loss outcome—an incredible result given the circumstances.

My experience as both a private lender & a bank workout specialist has involved me in many failed real estate renovation projects in and around Baltimore. In a business where 10% of customers create 90% of problems, these incomplete and often upside-down projects have the capacity to consume large amounts of time, energy, money & patience. I have worked with Ron for many years on projects too numerous to count, starting in 2007 just as the “Great Recession” began crippling the real estate industry, then later while he helped to “clean up” the defaulted loan portfolio of a billion-dollar bank where I served as Chief Risk Officer. Ron delivered expert BPO’s, developed clear action plans with detailed scopes of work, and managed the contractor bidding process for every manner of real estate reclamation project. His accountability, hard work, and attention to detail made our decision-making process significantly easier and ensured that projects were completed in a timely manner and made market-ready for sale, thereby maximizing both our ROI and my time. I highly recommend that you allow Ron Howard to do the same for you!

From 2008 through 2011, I managed an extensive portfolio of defaulted renovation loans and unfinished projects for a local bank. Ron Howard led our Baltimore City efforts, delivering detailed BPOs, comprehensive needs analyses, and clear scopes of work. He also managed the bidding process with three contractors, ensuring we spent money wisely. Ron's expertise consistently guided us to make the right decisions.
